Get Spore on the iPod Touch!

January 24th, 2009

Take control of microscopic pores on your iPod Touch. You control them as they evolve and develop. The aim of the game is to survive. The game is based around the first stages of the PC game called ‘Spore spore1.jpgorigins’.
The spore you control is located in the environment of a tide pool. It is survival of the fittest. Get your spore to attack and eat other organisms in order to evolve. Of course at the same time you must avoid becoming the hunted. The more you eat the more your DNA develops.

Play Spore on your iPod Touch

The game is played in a landscape mode allowing you to tilt your free iPod Touch in order to move the spore around the tide pool. Complete 18 levels by evolving after picking up enough DNA to progress.

Afetr you progress 3 levels you are able to trade in the DNA collected to evolve. You can now upgrade your spore. You can increase it’s attack power, defense, movement and perception.

The upgrades you choose affects how well your spore will fare against the other organisms in the environment.

Each game of spore on the iPod Touch lasts about an hour or so. It’s not too long but not too short. This enjoyable game is now available to purchase from iTunes.

There are many other iPod Touch Games.

Funny Poem

September 8th, 2008

I don’t take credit for this but it’s good so I’m going to post it. Read this out loud as fast as you can. Struggle? I know I did.

I take it you already know,
Of tough and bough and cough and dough.
Others may stumble, but not you,
On hiccough, thorough, laugh and through.
Well done! And now you wish, perhaps,
To learn of less familiar traps.
Beware of heard, a dreadful word,
That looks like beard and sounds like bird.
And dead – it’s said like bed, not bead,
For goodness’ sake, don’t call it ‘deed’!
Watch out for meat and great and threat,
(They rhyme with suite and straight and debt).
A moth is not a moth in mother,
Nor both in bother, broth in brother.
And here is not a match for there,
Nor dear and fear for bear and pear.
And then there’s dose and rose and lose –
Just look them up – and goose and choose.
And cork and work and card and ward,
And font and front and word and sword.
And do and go and thwart and cart –
Come, come, I’ve hardly made a start!
A dreadful language? Why man alive!
I’d mastered it when I was five.

Britain’s got Talent

This pair are already in the final. I hope they win. Something really original about their act. Watch the videos below.

Suleman Mirza and Madhu Singh. One’s a lawyer and one’s a salesman. They dance in their free time. This is what the competition is about.

Obviously the first is the best as it is the most original, but thought I would put all three up in case you liked them that much.

Jumpstyle

May 27th, 2008

Jumpstyle. The new way to dance.

Searching on Youtube brought me to this video. It is a subgenre of hard dance and appears to be only popular in Netherlands and Belgium. It originated in Belgium and developed from hakken which is punching and kicking in the air. Jumpstyle consists of jumping in time to the beat as seen in the videos.

For all those people who would like to learn how to jump watch the video below. Not sure who would. It seems like that to dance like this in a club would be near impossible because each person takes up more than twice the room of a normal person.

Pretty wierd. Glad it’s not become too popular in the UK though. What do you guys think? Comment below. Like this? Then subscribe to my blog.

iPod in Space

Here is a picture of the Space Craft Endeavour as it is photographed for detailed images of it’s heat shield to

check for damages.

I wonder what they were listening to? Space Oddity by David Bowe by any chance?

iPods are prefered over CD players because of the small amount of room they take up!
