Search Engine optimisation - The step by step guide
Step 2 - Choose your keywords
You have your niche and know that with a lot of work you will be able to produce a valuable site based on that niche. It will be a site which people will actually find useful and will want to visit. If you don’t hav ea site which has any use then the only people visiting are people that have been forced to visit due to your hard advertising campaigns. Buying a lot of links to your site will get you high rankings and visitors but if they get your site and realise that there is nothing of use there they will soon leave.
There are several important statistics in website design which you should take notice of. These are the bounce rate of the page, average time spent on the page and the percentage of returning visitors.
What do they mean?
Well time spent spent on the page is obvious. Bounce rate is the percentage of people who leave after just looking at one page. The percentage of returning visitors is the percentage of people who return to the site. You want to get bounce rate as low as possible and the other two as high as possible.
Can you buy traffic to your site?
So you can’t arsed to spend time to promote your site by word of mouth. You have decided to take the easy option of buying traffic. You have found a site which promises 10,000 visitors in the next week for only £10. It promises these visitors will be unique and will be highly targetted to the niche of your website. This is complete bollocks! Ignore these sites!
The truth is, there is no way to easily buy thousands of targetted visitors unless you use a campaign such as adwords. OK, you can buy thousands of visitors but instead of being £0.001 per visitor they will be at least 10p per visitor.
The so called targetted traffic you can buy i snot targetted. Normally it involves your site loading as a popup on other sites or maybe they are not even real people but instead bots programmed to look like unique visitors. These visitors then stay on your site for under 10 seconds. They will not return and they will not visit more than one page. They are not interested in what’s on your site as they have been forced to go there.
Choosing your keywords
You should not really write for the search engines. You should write your content for the people that are going to be visiting your site. If you write good content for people and they find it useful then your site will naturally gain backlinks and will naturally get high in the search engines. However, people find this difficult so I will give you a few tips to choosing your keywords.
Use this tool here to find out how many searches a day your keyword is getting. There is no point targetting a keyword which is not getting a lot of searches a day as it will not bring traffic in.
Your keyword must also not have too much competition. There is no point trying to target a keyword such as “home loans”. To find out how competitive your keyword is search on google for it. If there are a lot of results and these results include sites which are highly reputable then chances are you will find it difficult to get high in the search results.
Once you have your set of keywords, begin to write content which includes them. Try to make one page for each keyword or keyphrase. Use the title and headings tags accordingly.

Search Engine optimisation - The step by step guide
Here’s the SEO guide for you all!
I have spent ages looking on the internet for SEO guides and tips and tricks. This took me a fair amount of time and so I have decided to offer you everything I’ve learnt for free. I am assuming you are a complete beginner and have only just heard of the term SEO.
Okay, first thing’s first, you must think of the website you are going to make. If you have never done anyhthing online before then I’d suggest making a blog using WordPress.
Step 1 - Choose your niche
You must choose a niche which will be able to get enough interest from people in order to get enough traffic in order to make you enough money! The site must be original. There are already thousands of arcade sites out there so getting people to visit your site instead of miniclip.com or addictinggames.com will be incredibly difficult.
You need to choose a niche with limited competition. Do your research. Search in Google to see if there is already a site like the one you want to make. If there is, you must evaluate that site. Do you think you could make a better site? If you can’t then look for another idea.
You must be able to provide a lot of unique and valuable content. Content is king when it comes to making money on the internet. Without original content people will just go elsewhere.
The niche you want to occupy must also be one you can monetize. You need to know how you are going to get your revenue before you start.
