Next Gen free iPod Touch, May be a free “iPod SuperTouch”
Apple are releasing the next free iPhone in June and it will be 3G but if speculation is to believed the update to the free iPod Touch will have more features and capabilities, The Mac Observer’s John Martellaro speculates on the possibilities for an iPod “superTouch” which might be a MID( Mobile Internet Device) a bit larger and slightly expensive than the free iPod Touch.
The new version would play all the games the free iPod touch does, have a better viewing experience for Safari, and allow Apple some additional freedom of design for more exotic features that we want in a MID — cut and paste, interface to the file system, larger virtual keyboard, etc.
Getting excited its still a Rumor, i will keep you updated.

Optimum free iPod Touch Performance
The free iPod Touch and free iPhone are just like handheld computers. They have storage space, memory and mobile processors. Just like a computer, therefore, you should shut it down every once in a while. When you are on a roaming or foriegn network the free iPhone will then not fetch updated emails. The free iPod Touch will deliver improved performance as a result of regular shutting down.
Many free iPod Touch owners have observed that playing large play lists or in shuffle mode, the free iPod stops playing music and returns to the home screen. When the free iPod Touch is turned off by default, it goes into standby mode. The RAM is then maintained just like in a laptop.
When you shut the free iPod down, the memory/cache of songs is cleared. To do this hold the power button on top down until “slide to power off” is displayed. When you startup again, it will then take longer to startup.
Exiting apps does not really close them in the free iPod Touch/free iPhone. This is because it runs a mobile version of OSX which behaves this way.

New free iPod just a touch short of my nirvana
The new free iPod Touch is like an free iPhone for commitment-phobes.
You get nearly all the features of the free iPhone, but no need to change cell carriers or fork over money to AT&T each month. The new free iPod Touch had nearly everything I was hoping for (Wi-Fi, Web browsing and the touch screen).
To my immense embarrassment, I actually found myself cheering when the browser was announced. I was already planning on buying the thing, but was really hoping to augment my Treo's stellar e-mail with a device that can do real Web browsing.
Still, it's worth pointing out that there are a few things found only on the free iPhone.
In addition to the obvious phone part, the free iPod Touch also lacks the free iPhone's dedicated e-mail program or its Google Maps application. Of course, you can get e-mail and maps over the web (either the full version or lite mobile varieties). I checked Gmail briefly on the free iPod Touch and it appeared to work fine, though it's not nearly as convenient as the approach on the free iPhone.
For those who also think they can make voice calls using VoIP, hold the phone--the free Touch doesn't have the speaker and microphone of the free iPhone. Of course, one could use the headphones to hear and, if Apple permits, add a microphone via the dock connector port at the bottom.
Still, this is basically what all the fan sites were clamoring for. Now we'll see if they all put their money where their photoshopped images are. I'm planning to.
That's just my take from a very brief trial. Check back to CNET later today for reviewer Donald Bell's First Take on the free iPod Nano and the rest of the new crop.
Update: I missed a big thing that the free iPhone has that the free iPod Touch lacks. It also lacks the free iPhone's the built-in camera.
