The iPhone is one of the best products that I have ever invested in, purely because it’s so multifuctional. With the iPhone you can search the web, check your email, take photos and of course you can also use it to listen to all your favourite music on the go. That’s all fantastic, but what makes the iPhone different from any other phone are the applications that you can download on to it. There are many applications that do cost but you may end up purchasing something that is of no use. Here’s a list of the top free iPhone apps which are currently available to download.
Pandora Radio App
This application is great for anyone who likes to listen to music. With Pandora you may choose names of your favorite musical artists, and your favorite songs. Then Pandora makes a playlist that will not only play your favorite musical artists and your favorite songs but it will also play artist and music similar to the ones you have chosen. Now with multitasking on the iPhone 4 you can keep listening to your music whilst doing other things on your phone such as emailing.
Skype App
As long as you are in a WIFI area you can make Skype-to-Skype calls for free. When you are on the move you can also see who is available online, plus you can send and receive instant messages. The App is free and the calls are free! What more could you need.
Google Mobile App
With this application you can use your voice when doing a Google search. You can use English, Mandarin, or Japanese. You can even search nearby businesses without typing your current location. It’s fairly useful but I’m not quite sure of the appeal if it was a paid-for App. The best thing about it is that it’s free.
Associated Press Mobile App
If you like to check the international and local news coverage then this can be a great free application for you. You will be able to get coverage of breaking news, politics, business, news, sports and entertainment.
Facebook App
This application will allow you to stay connected to friends and family, whether they are 5 minutes away or hours away. You can look at photos as well as upload photos for everyone to see. Also, you can send messages as well as give and read status updates. It’s the king of the social Apps. Best of all, it’s free!
Stanza App
When using stanza you don’t have to carry a stack of books to school, or to the office. Now you can allow your iPhone to hold the books for you, making it easier on you. Every book you need is now just a tap away. However now with iBooks available to the iPhone for free there may not be so much use for this application
Cycorder App
Cycorder is also a free application for the iPhone which allows you to record videos. Perfect for a growing baby that is beginning to do new things, videos for YouTube, or anything else you may like to record. Again, although this is a great free application, now that the iPhone has built-in recording capabilities the usefulness of this App may be now limited.
WeatherBug App
Checking the weather has never been easier when using this application. You can check the temperature, the speed and direction of the wind, and forecast radars. It also allows you to view live weather cameras and national weather outlooks by video.
WordPress App
Adding blogs and managing existing ones can be easily done using this iPhone application. You can even write new articles if you would like to. This is perfect for all you webmasters out there.
