My Journey to a free iPod Touch and other items!
It all began two years ago whilst I was looked on eBay for the latest gadgets. Sure they were cheaper than in the shops but they were still bloody expensive. Being a student, there was no way I could afford them. I then found a listing on eBay advertising a free iPod scheme by freepay. I thought “no way” but was intriuged enough to search around to find out more about this crazy idea. I searched google for some proof and found these videos:
BBC Newsnight Video - A BBC program “to make sense of the day’s news, to try to explain the detail of current events and hold to account those responsible for them.”
NBC Video - ” NBC News pioneered the morning news program when it launched ”
More Videos
CNN - “CNN.com delivers the latest breaking news and information on the latest top stories, weather, business, entertainment, politics, and more”
G4TV - “Video gamers network. Get tech help, product reviews, news, and entertainment.”
News articles
Written proof is just as important as video proof, here’s what some sites have to say.
Wired News - An article highlighting how these marketing schemes work. click here to read
The New York Times - An article taken from The New York Times. click here to read
National Public Radio - An audio clip talking about the marketing schemes. click here to read
Watching these made me realise that this was real!
After watching these videos I realised that I could actually get a free iPod Touch. I looked around and found the best site there is and registered on it. Sign up to get your free iPod Touch here. Watching the videos will explain how the free iPod scheme works and how the sites are able to give you such expensive items for free. If you need a clearer explaination click here for the how it works page. There are 3 steps that have to be completed to get your own free iPod Touch. They are:
Step 1. Register with the website
Click here to register. You can use a free email service such as hotmail, yahoo or gmail. You can be confident that they will not sell your information as they are all registered with the Data Protection Act of 1998.
Step 2. Complete an offer
Once you have registered, go to the offers page found here. You must complete one of these offers to gain credit for your free iPod Touch. There are tens of offers to choose from. They are from reputable companies such as Blockbuster, Post Office, Lovefilm, Gala Bingo and Coral.co.uk. I recommend Lovefilm as it is a 14-day free trial. It is a no commitments free trial so you are not tied to a contract. However, you must try out the service and so you should receive a few trial DVDs in the post. Postage is free of course. Gala Bingo and Coral.co.uk only cost £5 so are also well worth a try. You must play through your deposit in order to get your free iPod Touch. £5 for an iPod Touch, I’m not going to complain.
Step 3. Refer a friend
Once registered you get a unique referral link just for your account. Give this to your friends and family. They must register and then complete an offer like you have.
